Tulsi Vivah follows Prabodhini Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha in Kartik, the day after Dev Uthani Ekadashi. The ritual window is set by the tithi and by the position of the moon relative to the lagna for your location — which is why the same festival has a slightly different puja window in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai even though the civil date is the same.
Because of that, we do not publish city-by-city muhurat minutes. Getting a muhurat wrong is a genuinely harmful error — people plan their day, their travel and their leave around it — and we cannot verify every city against a reliable panchang. A number we cannot stand behind is worse than telling you where to look.

Tulsi Vivah falls in late November 2026, on the day after Dev Uthani Ekadashi in Kartik. Confirm the exact date against your local panchang.
It marks the marriage of the tulsi plant to Vishnu, on the day after Vishnu wakes from his four-month sleep. It is the only Hindu ritual in which a plant is formally married.
The four-month Chaturmas period, during which weddings and auspicious ceremonies are avoided, ends with Dev Uthani Ekadashi. Tulsi Vivah the next day is the ceremonial first wedding of the year, after which actual weddings resume.
Sugarcane, amla, seasonal fruit, sweets, and a mangalsutra and cloth for the tulsi. A full vegetarian feast is cooked and offered before being distributed.
